Tabs are a great way to separate content in your interface, and Apple’s tab controls do a great job, but aren’t really suitable for all situations.
Here are a couple of controls for imitating the conventional tab style found in desktop apps, and a control based on the tab selectors in the iOS 6 app store.
1. BrowserTabView – A very versatile component that can be easily customized.
BrowserTabView is highly customizable and you can easily change the look of the control supports dragging, and more.
2. KOTabs – This is a control allowing you to easily create a tabbed document interface.
A nicely styled control that works well.
3. SDSegmentedControl – While not exactly your conventional tabs this control is based on the iOS 6 app store looks great, and was mentioned previously.
If you’re looking to create a tab style interface these open source iOS controls should help you get off to a great start.
