Example: PassKit Web Service Example Built With Ruby On Rails

One of the most touted features of iOS 6 is PassBook, a new feature that will turn your iOS device into a mobile wallet for your movie tickets, boarding passes, coupons, loyalty cards and more.

Today I came across an excellent example for anyone needing to implement a web service for communicating with PassBook built with rails.

This example is from Matt Thompson who’s been releasing a number of great open source projects lately such as the StoreKit add-on library CargoBay mentioned earlier this week.

You can find the PassKit On Rails example with full documentation on Github here.

This is the first addition to the iOS 6 SDK tutorial and example page – more to be added after the release of iOS 6.
