Some time ago I mentioned a series of tutorials on creating a looping music creation app using Cocos2D.
Today I came across a library and example created to help in the creation of a drum sequencing and scheduling app. The library provides simple ways to set up drum voices, tempo, scheduling and more.
The included example provides an excellent starting point for a drum beat making app.
Here’s a video showing the included example in action:
The library is BBGroover by Parker Wightman and can be found on Github here.
The project uses ObjectAL, and you can use CocoaPods to set up the dependencies if you have difficulty compiling the project.
Overall a very nice library, and a very useful example if you’re thinking of creating a similar app.
