I’ve mentioned some interesting libraries for creating transition effects like this multi-effect library using OpenGL ES and UIView’s mentioned some time ago, and this cool flip and read Flipboard style view creator.
Another transition that seems to be becoming more popular is the fan-fold paper folding transition that provides for a very cool effect.
This type of transition looks especially good if you’re sliding in a view that doesn’t take up the whole screen.

The library used to create the effect is XYOrigami from XY Feng and can be found on Github here with usage instructions and an example.
You can adjust the number of folds, and the direction so you can make something suited specifically to your views easily. It’s a category making it incredible easy to use just check the example app.
