Open Source iOS Grid Type Component With Built In PDF, Image And Video Showcasing

I’ve mentioned the excellent GMGridView component with movable cells.

Recently I came across an excellent component that utilizes GMGridView along with several other open source libraries to provide a very cool gridview component that provides automatic “showcasing” of PDFs, video and images.

The component automatically creates thumbnails for the different files, and also provides display for the files within the app. Extremely useful if you’re creating a content app – providing a nice easy to use interface automatically. The app interface adjusts automatically for the iPhone or iPad.

The library is PTShowcaseViewController from Ali Servet Donmez and can be found on Github here.

Be sure to download the controller and all submodules – there are a lot of them so it takes awhile.

A great controller if you want to make a content app quickly.
