Handling touches through the Safari browser on iPhone and iPad devices can be a difficult task. Whether you’re making a demo for your apps or a kick ass web-app that you need to be able handle multi-touch gestures through then this library is for you.
What’s nice about this library is that is focused solely on reading touches from a multi-touch device such as the iPhone and iPad and comes with some great demos so you can easily do whatever you want.
You can just drop it in to a page (JQuery required) and easily read taps, double taps, drags, and tranforms with utility functions allowing you to easily read rotation, scale, angle and more.
The library is Hammer.js from Eight Media. You can see a basic demo here and a nice picture slideshow demonstrating the drag gesture.
You can find download the library on Github here.
Very useful for adding in multi-touch gesture processing into a web page quickly.
