Free Framework For Developing 2D Games With Unity3D

From postings about tutorials on creating a 2D game with Unity 3D iOS, and creating a 2.5D game with Unity3D iOS I know there is a lot of interest from iPhone and iPad developers in creating 2D games with Unity3D.

Recently I came across a free 2D game framework for Unity3D that includes many features should help simplify 2D game creation on iOS devices.

The features include:

– The ability to import texture atlases for Sparrow and Cocos2d created with TexturePacker
– Sprite drag and drop support
– Easy sprite positioning, rotation and flipping
– Physics by setting variables in the editor
– Collision detection

.. and more, you can read the complete feature list and download Orthello  on the official page.

If you missed this, and you’re looking to develop 2D games with Unity3D then be sure to check it out.
