This series about music production is based around my new book, The Music Producer’s Handbook, where I’ll outline some basic production techniques and hopefully provide some details about the process that takes some of the mystery away. Be aware that this part of the series looks at the relationship between a producer and a band, or a producer with an artist with a backing band or studio musicians. We’ll tackle self-production later in the series.
In Part 3, we’ll look at the one of the most critical elements of being a producer – getting the best performances from the artist and musicians.
