What You’ll Need
To recreate the design above, you will need the following resources:
1. Let’s Get Started
First, we need to create the right size paper to work with. Go to Page Layout > Size > More Paper Sizes and set the Width to 8.5″ and Height to 11″. Then, go to Page Layout > Margins > Custom Margins and set the Top, Left, Bottom and Right margins to 0“.
2. How to Create the Header Area
Step 1
In this section, we are going to create the header area. Go to Insert > Shapes > New Drawing Canvas to insert a new shape.
Step 2
Now go to Format > Size, uncheck the Lock aspect ratio option, and set the Height to 1.25″ and Width to 8.5″. Then, go to Format > Text Wrapping > Behind Text.
Step 3
Go to Insert > Picture and choose the logo from the link that you previously saved as an image format.
Step 4
Now go to Format > Align > Align Left and then Format > Align > Align Middle to align the logo both horizontally and vertically. Then, Right-click on the image, choose Format Picture > Layout, and set the Horizontal and Vertical position of the image to 0.25″.
Step 5
Go to Insert > Text Box > Draw Text Box, click and drag to draw the text box anywhere on the right side of the logo in the header, and type the date that you want.
Step 6
Now press Control-A on your keyboard to select the text, go to Home > Font, and set the Font to Montserrat, Font Style to Bold, and Size to 20. Then, go to Home > Font > Character Spacing and set the Spacing to Expanded and By to 2 pt. After that, go to Home > Paragraph and set the Alignment to Right, After spacing to 0 pt, and Line spacing to Single.
Step 7
Go to Format > Shape Fill > No Fill, and Format > Shape Outline > No Outline to remove both the shape fill and the outline. Then, go to Format > Align > Align Right and Format > Align > Align Middle to align the text box both horizontally and vertically. After that, go to Format > Size > Text Box and set the Left, Top and Bottom internal margins to 0″, Right to 0.25″, and Vertical Alignment to Center.
3. How to Create the Content Area
Step 1
In this section, we are going to create the content area. Place the cursor just after the first shape, and go to Insert > Shapes > New Drawing Canvas to insert a new shape.
Step 2
Now go to Format > Size, uncheck the Lock aspect ratio option, and set the Height to 9″ and Width to 8.5″. Then, go to Format > Text Wrapping > Behind Text.
Step 3
Place the cursor at the bottom of the header shape, go to Home > Paragraph, and set the After spacing to 0 pt and Line spacing to Single.
Step 4
Now go to Format > Shape Styles > Fill Effects > Picture, choose the photo from the link, and check the Lock picture aspect ratio option.
Step 5
Right-click on the image and choose Grouping > Ungroup. Then, go to Format > Brightness > Picture Correction Options and set the Brightness to 40%.
Step 6
Go to Insert > Text Box > Draw Text Box, click and drag to draw the text box anywhere on the top of the image, and type the title that you want.
Step 7
Go to Format > Shape Fill > No Fill and Format > Shape Outline > No Outline to remove both shape fill and the outline. Then, go to Format > Size, uncheck the Lock aspect ratio option, and set the Height to 3″ and Width to 8″.
After that, go to Format > Position > More Layout Options and set the Horizontal Alignment to Center and Vertical Absolute Position to 1.8″ below Page to align and position the text box both horizontally and vertically.
Step 8
Now go to Format > Size > Text Box and set the Left, Right, Top and Bottom internal margins to 0″. Then, press Control-A on your keyboard to select the text, go to Home > Font, and set the Font to Montserrat Black and Font color to White, and check the All caps option.
Step 9
Now click and drag to select the first word, go to Home > Font, and set the Size to 62. Then, click and drag to select the second word, go to Home > Font, and set the Size to 80. After that, go to Home > Paragraph and set the Alignment to Centered, After spacing to 0 pt, and Line Spacing to Exactly at 70 pt.
Step 10
Go to Insert > Text Box > Draw Text Box, click and drag to draw the text box anywhere below the title, and type the subtitle that you like.
Step 11
Now press Control-A on your keyboard to select the text, go to Home > Font, and set the Font to Montserrat Black, Size to 20, and Font color to White. Set the Underline Style to Thick Underline, set the Underline Color to White, and check the All caps option.
Then, go to Home > Font > Character Spacing and set the Spacing to Expanded By to 4 pt. After that, go to Home > Paragraph and set the Alignment to Centered, After spacing to 0 pt, and Line spacing to Single.
Step 12
Go to Format > Shape Fill > No Fill and Format > Shape Outline > No Outline to remove both the shape fill and the outline. Then, go to Format > Position > More Layout Options and set the Horizontal Alignment to Center and Vertical Absolute Position to 3.8″ below Page to align and position the text box both horizontally and vertically.
After that, go to Format > Size > Text Box and set the Left, Right, Top and Bottom internal margins to 0″.
Step 13
Now go to Insert > Text Box > Draw Text Box. Click and drag to draw the text box anywhere below the subtitle and type the paragraph that you want.
Step 14
Go to Format > Shape Fill > More Fill Colors > Custom and set the Red to 169, Green to 207, and Blue to 56, and go to Format > Shape Outline > No Outline to remove the shape outline.
Then, go to Format > Size, uncheck the Lock aspect ratio option, and set the Height to 1.25″ and Width to 8″. After that, go to Format > Position > More Layout Options and set the Horizontal Alignment to Center and Vertical Absolute Position to 4.6″ below Page to align and position the text box both horizontally and vertically.
Step 15
Now go to Format > Size > Text Box, set the Left and Right internal margins to 0.2″, Top and Bottom internal margins to 0″, and the Vertical Alignment to Center. Then, press Control-A on your keyboard to select the text, go to Home > Font, and set the Font to Montserrat Light and Font Size to 15. After that, go to Home > Paragraph and set the Alignment to Justified, After spacing to 5 pt, and Line Spacing to Exactly at 23 pt.
Step 16
Now go to Insert > Text Box > Draw Text Box, click and drag to draw the text box anywhere on the left side below the paragraph, and type the paragraph that you like.
Step 17
Go to Format > Shape Outline > No Outline to remove the shape outline. Then, go to Format > Size, uncheck the Lock aspect ratio option, and set the Height to 3.5″ and Width to 3.9″.
After that, go to Format > Position > More Layout Options and set the Horizontal Absolute Position to 0.25″ to the right of the page and Vertical Absolute Position to 6.01″ below page to align and position the text box both horizontally and vertically.
Step 18
Now go to Format > Size > Text Box, set the Left and Right internal margins to 0.2″, Top and Bottom internal margins to 0″, and Vertical Alignment to Center. Then, press Control-A on your keyboard to select the text, go to Home > Font, and set the Font to Montserrat Light and Font Size to 12. After that, go to Home > Paragraph and set the Alignment to Justified, After spacing to 6 pt, and Line Spacing to Exactly at 21 pt.
Step 19
Select the text box, and press Control-C on your keyboard to copy it. Then, select the image and press Control-V to paste it. Then, go to Format > Position > More Layout Options and set the Horizontal Absolute Position to 4.35″ to the right of the page and Vertical Absolute Position to 6.01″ below page to align and position the text box both horizontally and vertically.
4. How to Create the Footer Area
Step 1
In this section, we are going to create the footer area. Place the cursor just at the bottom of the shape, go to Insert > Shapes > Rectangle, and click and drag to draw the rectangle shape.
Step 2
Go to Format > Shape Fill > More Fill Colors > Custom and set the Red to 169, Green to 207, and Blue to 56, and go to Format > Shape Outline > No Outline to remove the shape outline.
Then, go to Format > Size, uncheck the Lock aspect ratio option, and set the Height to 0.75″ and Width to 8.5″. After that, go to Format > Position > More Layout Options and set the Horizontal Alignment to Centered and Vertical Absolute Position to 10.25″ below Page to align and position the text box both horizontally and vertically.
Step 3
Now go to Insert > Text Box > Draw Text Box, click and drag to draw the text box anywhere on the left side inside the shape, and type the phone number that you like.
Step 4
Now press Control-A on your keyboard to select the text, go to Home > Font, and set the Font to Montserrat, Font Style to Bold, and Size to 15. Then, go to Home > Font > Character Spacing and set the Spacing to Expanded and By to 1.5 pt. After that, go to Home > Paragraph and set the Alignment to Left, After spacing to 0 pt, and Line spacing to Single.
Step 5
Go to Format > Shape Fill > No Fill, and Format > Shape Outline > No Outline to remove both the shape fill and the outline. Then, go to Format > Position > More Layout Options and set the Horizontal Alignment to Left and Vertical Absolute Position to 10.35″ below page to align and position the text box both horizontally and vertically.
After that, go to Format > Size > Text Box and set the Left internal margin to 0.25″, Top, Right and Bottom internal margins to 0″, and Vertical Alignment to Center.
Step 6
Select the text box, and press Control-C on your keyboard to copy it. Then select the shape and press Control-V to paste it. Change the text to the email address that you want, go to Home > Font, and check the All caps option and go to Home > Paragraph and set the Alignment to Right.
After that, go to Format > Position > More Layout Options and set the Horizontal Alignment to Right and Vertical Absolute Position to 10.35″ below page to align and position the text box both horizontally and vertically. Then, Format > Size > Text Box and set the Left, Top, and Bottom internal margins to 0″, and set Right to 0.25″.
