CSS is constantly evolving. Some of the features being talked about now may well become mainstream in the near future, while others will likely fade into obscurity. Either way, understanding which CSS selectors, layout modules and filters are being considered for the future will make you a stronger front-end developer.
One option that may soon find widespread acceptance is the grid layout. As you can imagine, this subset of CSS has the potential to simplify the process of laying out your content.
