Description of the track:
This is a song I wrote in response to many people telling me “give it some time” when I expressed how happy I was to be getting married to my soulmate. I have realized over the past couple years just how many people are not happy in life and marriages alike. I believe marriage is like any other endeavor… you have to continually work at it to keep the fires burning and to keep it fresh. My wife and I have a great marriage and we had been in love with one another for 22 years before either of us even knew it. I have another song that I wrote and recorded specifically about that titled “Twenty Two Years Ago” that has a very special place in my heart and is a favorite of my wife’s.

Lyrics:
423-595-7509
SAY IT AIN’T SO
A phone call from your friend this morning
Took me by surprise
And what she had to say to me
Finally opened my eyes
She said that you were leaving
You’d had all that you could take
But before you walk away from me
Let me hear you say
CHORUS:
Say it ain’t so, say you won’t go
Tell me that you’ll be here tomorrow
That’s the way it needs to be
Just baby you and me
Tell me you won’t go
Say it ain’t so
Looking back I realize
There were times you needed me
Times I should’ve been there
To just fulfill your needs
But I promise that i’ll make it up
Darling if you stay
Let’s sit down and talk a while
Let me hear you say
CHORUS:
Bridge:
I know I can be a better man
And I will give you all the love that I can
CHORUS:
