Last month we kicked off the first Psdtuts+ Design Challenge by asking our readers to create a new animal species using a variety of Photoshop techniques. This month, we decided to mix things up and celebrate the announcement of a new Star Wars movie in 2015 by asking our readers to produce some Star Wars fan art and share it with our community on Google+.
Star Wars fans were recently stunned to hear that not only would Disney would be purchasing the rights to the Star Wars franchise but also be releasing Episode VII in 2015. In addition, we have also heard rumors that much of the original cast will return to star in the films but also that they will be releasing several spinoffs featuring many of our favorite characters.
To celebrate these exciting announcements, we want you to create your own Star Wars fan art. You can use any Photoshop technique that you want. This includes digital painting, photo manipulation, 3D, matte painting, and even typography. All we ask is that you be creative and have fun.
What is a Design Challenge?
Each month, we will challenge you to put your Photoshop skills to the test by creating art inspired by that month’s theme. At the end of each challenge, we may feature your submissions on our website and possibly discuss them in a Google+ Hangout.
