Tracking the success your social media campaign is no easy task and if you’re in a highly competitive vertical that demands you stay on top of your rival’s campaign, there are no simple solutions. Thanks to Wildfire we now have a one click solution to comparitively monitor the social media traction in two of the most popular platforms — Facebook and Twitter.
After the break, we’ll look at how to use the Wildfire Social Media Monitor to glean insights about the growth of your social media fan base on the leading social networks.
Overview
Wildfire app assists companies and brands in easily building and launching social media marketing campaigns within minutes. Taking advantage of their easy-to-use design tools, campaigns, in a multitude of formats like quizzes, contests, coupons, virtual gifts and more, can be initiated in mere moments.
Overview
Wildfire enables you to simultaneously publish your social media marketing campaign on Facebook Fan Pages, Twitter and your website with just a few clicks. It’s secure, can handle massive traffic and is always up to date with the latest updates and changes of the Facebook and Twitter platforms.
How Does it Work?
Comparison Tool
You can kickstart the social ego measurement process by entering the Facebook and Twitter URLs that you consider relevant. In total, six different social profiles — three Twitter users and three Facebook users — can be compared in one go.
Autopopulating Results
To make your job simple, Wildfire starts suggesting usernames as soon as you type and, from what I have seen, the suggestions are relevant and spot on. Just usernames will suffice and there’s no need to type in full URLs.
Measuring Performance
That’s all the work you have to do and it’s now time to get some insights into the social clout of the profiles entered. With daily tracking, you have visibility into growth trends small and large.
Facebook Stats track the increase in the number of fans over a period of time. The graphical illustration of data can be viewed for a period of 7 days, 1 month, 3 months and all time. It shows how steep the increase or decrease the fan count is. Below the graph is a table showing the number of fans each of the profile has and the percentage of growth over said periods of time. Wildfire has made it extremely simple to remove an existing profile and add a new one to compare with the rest.
Following the Facebook stats is the Twitter stats section, where the number of followers to an account is the key metric. Embed codes for showcasing the trends are available for free too.
Usage
The ultimate advantage of this app is the ability to track how far your competition is successful in social media. In one simple step, you can gauge your social media success against others in the industry by comparing your follower bases across the leading social networks. It is also a great of way of checking if your latest social media campaign is helping you gain traction or just burning a hole in your pocket.
Waiting for a tipping point in your campaign? Timely Alerts from Wildfire’s alert system will inform you of meaningful trends and activity that’s relevant to your social presence. You will have to sign up for receiving alerts though.
Upcoming Feature
In the near future, Wildfire is planning to launch a recommendation system that will guide you through the maze of social media strategy with custom-tailored recommendations. All recommendations will be based on your level of exposure in the social space with the ultimate goal of taking your social media campaigns to the next level.
