Remember Adobe AIR? With advancements in HTML5 and even Silverlight, AIR seems to have been left in the back of our minds-at least here at Web.AppStorm. Adobe AIR has some pretty great apps, however, that are still rocking the AIR space and even leading their respective areas (like Twitter).

TweetDeck is one of the most popular Twitter clients around and with good reason; it’s feature rich, a pleasure to use and cross-platform thanks to Adobe AIR. The AIR app also has Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn, Google Buzz and Foursquare integration, among many other amazing features.

Seesmic Desktop is another competing and powerful desktop Twitter client sporting an easy to use interface and lots of great features. Seesmic also developed Twhirl, a once popular Twitter client taking advantage of Adobe AIR and my first favorite Twitter client.

3. Splashup Light
If you need image editing capabilities that don’t extend too far into the advanced areas, Splashup may just be your go-to app. It’s a very lightweight yet more than capable photo editor that can take on most users’ lightweight editing tasks. 4. SlideRocket Player
If you deal with presentations, SlideRocket is a must-try web app. SlideRocket takes presentations to the next level and eliminates the need for less flexible, more expensive software. The SlideRocket Player AIR app is the perfect compliment to an already amazing web app and service.

5. doit.im
If you’re not already using a task management app, Doit.im is a great one to try out. With access on pretty much every platform (web, desktop and mobile), you’ll have quick and easy access to your tasks at all times. The AIR app uses a fresh and clean interface and is a breeze to use.

6. Klok 2 Pro
Keeping track of your time and the way you use it is vital if you want to be more productive and, especially for freelancers, minimize the amount of time you work for free. Although the app isn’t free, it definitely has a great selection of features and a nice interface to visualize how and when your time is being used.

7. iPlotz
Need to create mockups or wireframes? Definitely give iPlotz a try as it will most likely be just the solution you were looking for. iPlotz makes it easy to wireframe your ideas whether you’re on Windows, Mac or Linux and includes a plethora of features to help you get the job done such as project and task management.

8. EarthBrowser
Although Google Maps and other online mapping software is quite amazing, EarthBrowser offers some features to take things to the next level. EarthBrowser offers features like real-time weather conditions and forecasts, live natural disaster updates and animations and a whole lot more.

9. Polaris
If you run a website, there’s a strong chance you’re a Google Analytics user and you probably check on your site’s stats pretty frequently. Polaris is an AIR app that gives you a sexy and easy to understand interface for your Google Analytics stats, which also makes it super easy to keep an eye on your stats all the time and instantly.

10. Yammer Desktop
This is Yammer’s own desktop client, which makes it super easy to stay up on current happenings within your company or organization. If you’re not familiar with Yammer, it’s basically Twitter but for companies or organizations.
