Status.net Modification

I’m looking for a developer with experience with the open source script status.net. The developer is to create a plugin that adds the “search and post” feature of blip.fm. Users should be able to search for videos using the youtube api, display results with title and embed code for the chromeless player and then post a message, which would involve saving the title and embed code for the selected video into the database and linking it to the message id that has been posted.

I’ve asked to create a plugin since it allows for the default script to be updated without breaking anything. NOTE adding title and embed code and linking it to the message id should not alter the original database structure as it may affect future updates to the script.
