Scraping Of Website Data W/ Java Into Text Files

What we need:
A data extraction guru. Someone who has expertise in screen scraping and parsing, from static pages and dynamic forms. We need someone with the ability to (a) dynamically navigate to the “account” pages of an airline website, and (b) extract the data we need and save the text into a file on our local directory.

Note: we need the script to automate the scraping, rather than a cut and paste method. We have already been able to accomplish this for some of our accounts, but we want to find a reliable teammate (hopefully you) who can do this for future accounts.

Our Goal:
Working script for one website account and hopefully, long term relationship with you to enhance the code to handle other website accounts. Once we have worked with you and you have worked with us on this first step trial with you, we would like to continue to pay you for many other similar and more advanced scraping projects.

What we will give you:
Login and password to a travel website. Details of website to be scraped will be given to winning project bidder.

What we need:
We need a script that can login at an airline website and pull user data. The script will then need to navigate to the “account” pages on the site – the pages that include key data like name, # of recent trips, etc. Then the script should scrape the page and output the data into our local directory, as simple text dump of those HTML pages. Please bring any questions via PM.

Coding Method:
We want this coded in Java – and we are interested in working with someone who is confident in doing this.

We need the script to run on the command line…where we (admin) will enter a user & password…and the script returns all the data we’ve requested. When we run this script at the command line, we want it to create a directory on our local computer and dump the text version of the HTML pages into that directory.

We expect that this first project should be a quick one, requiring less than 15 hours of work. Reasonable bid + Good feedback and Experience will be deciding factors in the selection. If this project seems difficult or scraping is new to you, it is probably appropriate to skip our project. Otherwise, we are an excellent team looking for a longterm partner who can be our scraping ninja.

US based start-up is looking for a RoR developer to support development of an application that relies on HTML5, SaaS, and Haml. Ability to write DRY code is a must. Having a public repository on something like GitHub is a must to for evaluation purposes.

You’ll be responsible for some interface development (including all the markup and Javascript required) as well as some backend work, like the controller code for the views you build, as well as importing and exporting various models in various file formats.

Interface and interaction design

Graphic Design For A Webstore 2

We need a graphic design for a webstore which sells computer games. It needs to fit in a 1024 width page, and it needs to look good on greater screens. It needs to be in the center of the screen (not on left or right).

Please see the attachment, this is what we have now. We will keep using the monster (actually we have a different project for a better one).

For this project, we need only the layout, without any content. We’ll deal with the content of the pages in a future project.

The header should consists from:
– the monster
– a short menu bar with Home, Discounts, Delivery
– contact area, with the phone number clearly visible
– a large search bar (one text field)
– a link to advanced search
– list of platforms: PC, PS3, PS2, PSP, XBOX, Wii, Others
– a larger promotion

The footer: copyright note, a menu and two images 88×31 for partners. It can have a area for link exchange (or it can be at the right bar).

In the content, all I care for this project is the categories. They should be at the top, not in the left bar.

It’s important that the platforms in the header to act as main navigation, which categories act as a “second-hand” navigation. I want user choose platform rather than choose a category.

Web Research & Data Entry And Compiling 5 Hrs

I need someone good at doing web research to do some researching and collecting lists of information (such as websites and companies) and also some data entry and some basic article writing.

Basically I need you to do some searches (google) and search for certain things I will tell you.

T-shirt Quoting Software

This is nothing fancy. I want a small quote calculator for T-shirts, which can be put into the sidebars of most websites. This is not going to be some fancy “Design your own shirt” software.

This is just a simple quoter with the following features:

*Need a user control panel which will allow the input of parameters like t-shirts, hoodies, jackets, sweatshirts etc., and prices of eachs.

*Will need to have inputs for tiered based pricing based on quantities, which can be set at the administrative level.
