Script that would make TV listings site from two XML files. If you are not sure what is TV listing, please check example: http://www.onthebox.com (displays which TV show is being showed when with its description).
Two XML-s has 6 channels in total.
Site structure would go like this:
1) Front page table – list of all channels and programs that they are showing at this time + one to the future
2) List of particular channel program – particular channel listings for 1 week ahead
3) Internal page with programs description – particular program description
Additional needs:
Internal optimization for search (will provide TITLE, URL, META-description structures)
Cron job to parse XML’s on regular basis
Possibility to select which channels to import and which not
Admin can select the order in which programs are displayed
Admin can select number of programmes to be showed near each channel on front table
Possibility to choose whether to show channel page or/and internal pages of programs (if
not to show – simply links are inactive)
Possibility to edit the layout (must be used templates for easy edit: index, channel,
single, sidebar, footer, header); Have to be made so that design could be changed easily
Possibility to easily install this system on other domain and change design (script files
upload via ftp and editing configuration file for database access)
Facebook Like plugin after single program description
Social buttons from AddThis.com in a single program description
Sidebar to be different in internal page, in front page and in particular channels page
(use sidebar1.php, sidebar2.php, sidebar3.php as an example_
Header differs on front page and channel/single program pages
Possibility to edit imported programs by had (in case of urgent change)
Admin has his separate access
Don’t forget – particular day program can end next day (e.g. end of program at 3:00 a.m.
Tuesday, but must be still displayed near Monday)
Maybe it sounds big from first perspective, but basically its to parse XML and put everything into places + create flexibility in displaying this data.
Winner will receive a detailed description and layouts (its xHTML/CSS and is online). Designings or coding is not needed.
Would appreciate the person who does the job fast, is flexible and is great in communications (Skype would be ok; GNT+2 time zone). You can ask any questions in advance in order not to have misunderstandings later.
I will consider bids that has a word “listing” in the beginning (to filter out automated bids from people who are not reading descriptions).
