Interspire Email Modifications – Php
Hi,
A client of mine is using the Interspire Email Marketing (IEM) program and needs the following changes made (following is a copy/paste of their requirements):
Whenever someone clicks on a link in the newsletter, the representative assigned to that mailing list needs to receive an email with the following info:
1) Name of person who received the email/clicked link within email (subscribers’ name, which they will fill in when they originally subscribe to the newsletter)
2) Telephone Number of subscriber (also provided by the subscriber when they sign up to the newsletter)
3) The link within the newsletter email that was clicked
So, as an example:
Terry Smith from Smith & Sons on telephone number 1235483 clicked the link domain.com/url.html on 24/2/2011 at 10.34
The required info that is sent to the representative can be done one of the following ways, whichever is easiest for the selected programmer:
a. Email generated every time a link is clicked
OR
b. Daily email sent showing all contacts for that day from the database
OR
c. Each rep has their own login into a mini section on the site where they can aquire only their data
(and perhaps add people onto the database)
Finally, the info that is collected also needs to be stored in the database and accessed from the IEM admin interface.
Need someone to start immediately – please reply with which method from a,b or c above that you will use to send the subscriber info to the representative and an accurate timescale of how long you think this will take you to do.
Many thanks.

Midsearch.php Quick Fix
Hello,
I had to amke some serious reworking of the script to get it work properly, but now I have one last problem that I cannot fix – if your are up to it…
Please visit the website http//oldtowntoronto.ca/index.php?section=6 to see the folowing in action:
I need to display the same listing results found in the origional search (using the url above), but the refined ‘midsearch’ function does not allow this. It seems to be using a different sql statement to grab the information.
1. I do not know what file or where to find the code that is telling ‘midsearch’ to display the refined results.
2. I do not know how to override the above and tell ‘midsearch’ where to find and display the refined results I need
**I want ‘midsearch’ to find the results using another set of columns from the same table. I fixed the origional results to display from the columns I need
Other issues
3. I do not know how to get:
a) ‘midsearch’ to display php code from the currrent column
b) how to execute php from the column
‘midsearch’ seems to be overwriting any php from being displayed properly or executed.

New Zealand quake victims named
The BBC’s Nick Bryant reports from Christchurch on the extent of the quake devastation
Officials in New Zealand have released the first names of the 103 confirmed victims of Tuesday’s earthquake in the city of Christchurch.
They include two adults and two infants – aged five and nine months.
Rescue workers are still combing through rubble but no survivors have been found since Wednesday afternoon.
Police say 228 people are missing, including 122 believed to have been in one smashed building where it is thought no-one survived.
Civil Defence Minister John Carter said that five bodies had been recovered in central Christchurch overnight.
“We are still hopeful there will still be people rescued but it is becoming unlikely,” he said at a news conference in the capital, Wellington, on Friday morning.
“It is not until you are down in Christchurch that you have an appreciation of the devastation – it is unbelievable,” Mr Carter said.
The 6.3-magnitude earthquake struck at a shallow depth of 5km (3.1 miles) early in the afternoon on Tuesday, when the South Island city was at its busiest.
It was Christchurch’s second major tremor in five months, and New Zealand’s deadliest natural disaster for 80 years.
Police have released the first names of confirmed victims. They are:
Jaime Robert McDowell Gilbert, 22Baxter Gowland, five monthsJayden Harris, nine monthsJoseph Tehau Pohio, 40
All are from Christchurch.
Search crews have still not given up hope of finding survivors These are the first victims’ names officially confirmed by New Zealand police, but other countries have begun releasing names of their nationals who they say were killed.
The UK’s foreign office said two Britons were killed.
It is not clear how Baxter Gowland was killed, but Jayden Harris was crushed by a falling television set at his home, the New Zealand Herald said.
“He hadn’t even started to crawl,” the boy’s grandmother Linda Nash told the Herald. “But obviously he didn’t get the chance.”
Officials said it was taking time to release victims’ names because rigorous identification procedures were being followed to avoid mistakes.
“We know it’s an agonising wait for families desperate to find out about their loved ones, but there is a legal requirement for this work to be completed according to standards set by the coroner,” said police disaster victim identification commander Mike Wright.
Christchurch Coroner Sue Johnson has appealed for families of missing people to describe any distinguishing marks on their relatives such as tattoos, and the clothing and any jewellery they were wearing, so the information can be compared to bodies in the mortuary.
Prime Minister John Key has said 200 people were feared to have died.
Ten foreign teams, from countries including Australia, Japan, China, Britain and the US, were helping New Zealand crews look for survivors and victims.
The leader of a British team said they were still hopeful of finding survivors.
“We are very optimistic that we could still come across live casualties,” said firefighter Scott Imray.

Streets in the north-eastern suburb of Bexley were flooded as the quake caused water mains to burst, which coincided with heavy rain.
The multi-storey Pyne Gould Guinness Building, which normally houses around 200 workers, collapsed. A number of people were thought to be trapped inside.
The 63m spire of the city’s Anglican cathedral was toppled by the earthquake. A New Zealand TV reporter took a look inside the damaged building.
Part of Christchurch’s Canterbury Television [CTV] building completely collapsed in the earthquake. Some 24 people have been rescued from the building, but police said there might be between 60 and 120 bodies trapped underneath.
In the aftermath of the earthquake, Rhys Taylor took this video on Oxford Terrace, 50 metres away from the city’s main hospital. He said: “Cars were being used as ambulances to transport the injured.”
“Obviously the longer it goes on, the less chance there is of survivors being found, but people are quite resilient and they can last a considerable period without food and water if they are in a reasonably safe area within a collapsed structure.”
About 600 search and rescue workers are using sniffer dogs, sound detectors, thermal imaging equipment and cameras to detect any signs of life.
The influx of foreign specialists has allowed crews to broaden the search area to buildings and districts that have not yet been checked.
Police have already said there was no chance that anyone survived within the collapsed Canterbury Television building, where up to 122 people are thought to have perished, including at least 80 students and staff of an English-language school.
The building contained the offices of a local TV station, a nursing school and the King’s Education school.
Studying at the school were dozens of Japanese, Chinese and Filipino nationals who are missing.
Between 16 and 22 people, most of them tourists, are now believed to have died when the spire of Christchurch’s landmark cathedral collapsed.
The city’s tallest building, the badly-damaged Hotel Grand Chancellor, has remained standing despite fears it could collapse from the sizeable aftershocks which continue to shake the area.
Many buildings were already damaged by September’s earthquake, which was more powerful but was centred further from the city and at a greater depth.
A JP Morgan analyst has estimated the insurance losses at $12bn. A number of major roads, bridges and tunnels have been damaged and are closed.
Engineers are starting to go through the city district-by-district to assess damage.
Officials say the electricity supply has been restored to 75% of the city and water to 40%. Residents are being advised to conserve water and boil it twice before drinking.
Hundreds of portable toilets have been set up and more are on the way and water tankers have been deployed at 14 locations throughout the city to allow people to fill buckets and bottles.

Race to rescue Britons from Libya
British nationals speak of “disastrous” evacuation from Libya
Scores of Britons are stranded in Libya as efforts are redoubled to bring them back amid continuing protests there.
The prime minister is due to chair a high-level meeting of the National Security Council on Friday morning.
High on the agenda will be the question of how to rescue the Britons who remain in Tripoli and in the desert.
On Thursday David Cameron said he was “incredibly sorry” for the government’s handling of the evacuation of British nationals from Libya.
His comments followed criticism of a slow government response to the crisis.
The Foreign Office confirmed there were up to 220 Britons still stranded in Libya, 50 of them in Tripoli and between 150 and 170 in the more remote oil-producing areas in the Libyan desert.
The BBC’s security correspondent Frank Gardiner said the SAS had been put on standby for an “emergency deployment”.
Several people who arrived back at Gatwick on a government-chartered flight on Thursday described the Foreign Office’s response as “disastrous”.
They complained about being cold, wet and hungry waiting 14 hours for the plane to arrive and take them home.
One told the BBC: “If the government’s going to do something it needs to pull its finger out and actually physically do something.”
Another said: “The people on the ground from the British embassy, when we finally found them at the airport, they couldn’t have been better. But the communication with London, it was just a fiasco.”
One of the lucky ones to get out was a British woman who was airlifted with her newborn baby by an Irish government LearJet.
The woman, who had just given birth by Caesarean section, was evacuated to Malta with her husband and two other children.
Time goes slowly when you’re stuck in a country in turmoil (writes an anonymous oil worker based on the outskirts of Tripoli).
Mobile communications have been down for several days now, and the internet is sporadic at best.
We have been depending on a generator for much of our electricity, so have managed to keep a semblance of normal life ongoing.
We have enough supplies to last for two months, but fresh food and bread are luxuries we shall have to wait for. At night we sit and worry about our colleagues in other parts of the country, wondering whether they are safe.
Some of you may be wondering why I’m still here. Well the reason is simple. I have four men still stuck in the desert, and I won’t be leaving the country until they have been safely evacuated.
Mr Cameron said it had not been an easy situation and ministers needed to “learn the lessons”.
The Foreign Office said it had helped a total of 350 British nationals leave Libya on Thursday, including 79 on a flight chartered by oil company BP.
US President Barack Obama and Mr Cameron also discussed Libya on the telephone on Thursday night.
A Downing Street spokesperson said: “The prime minister updated the president on his trip to the Middle East, stressing the importance of seizing this moment of opportunity for change in the region.
“The leaders discussed Libya and agreed to work together closely on the swift evacuation of nationals. They also agreed to co-ordinate on possible multilateral measures on Libya, including at the UN Human Rights Council on Monday.”
A flight chartered by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO), carrying 181 adults and two children, including 113 Britons, landed at Gatwick at 2030 GMT on Thursday.
Another plane was due to arrive at 0330GMT.
Mr Cameron said of the British response: “Of course I am incredibly sorry. They have had a difficult time. The conditions at the airport have been extremely poor.
“There are going to be lessons to be learned from this and we will make absolutely sure that we learn them for the future but, right now, the priority has got to be getting those British nationals home.”
Labour leader Ed Miliband criticised the government’s reaction to the crisis.
He said: “I’m afraid the government has been slow off the mark and lessons need to be learned, but the priority now is to get Our correspondent said an SAS contingent has been put on standby for emergency deployment to parts of Libya, backed up by paratroopers of the Special Forces Support Group.
UK nationals wishing to register an interest in flights out of Libya should call 020 7008 0000 from the UK or 021 3403644/45 from Libya.
The Foreign Office is advising against all but essential travel to Libya.
