Firefighters say a family are lucky to be alive after an explosion at a house.
Mid and West Wales Fire Service were called to the semi-detached property in the village of Llangennith, Gower, at 0200 GMT.
Five people escaped from the house, with one man suffering slight injuries.
It is thought gas was the cause. Rob Martin of Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service said he family were “extremely lucky to get out”.
Station manager Mr Martin said: “They were extremely lucky that the explosion wasn’t any worse.
“They’re extremely lucky to get out.. if the explosion had been any larger it would probably have demolished the house”

“The property was very badly damaged and it’s not, in fact, safe to enter.
‘Gas fault’
“We haven’t sent any firefighters in to do anything and they’re extremely lucky to get out. If the explosion had been any larger it would probably have demolished the house.
“Because it’s so dangerous I’m probably not going to enter the house so I am trying to conduct the investigation as best as I can externally and through doing interviews with the various witnesses.
Mr Martin said firefighters were still not able to enter the property early on Saturday because it was so dangerous.
“It seems like there was a gas fault there. Again it’s very difficult to determine what occurred because we can’t actually get into the property, it’s not safe to do so,” he said.
Fire officers would be checking gas appliances at the house and taking a good look at how well maintained they were, he said.
