This illustration of a Jester was designed both to give a quick solution for a needed artwork as well as a template for those who care to spend time, play with colors and textures and create their own versions.
The File’s subject (the harlequin) has a 2 basic Layer build up:
1) Line-Art: there are 2 Layers. The main black line-art and the collar lineart that has a 35% multiply transparency.
2) Color: One group of the unaltered elements called “Skin-Bells-Cards”, 5 objects of the different color uniforms and a “White – do it Yourself” sublayer.
The later has a white base object which defines the area that can be tempered, a multiply transparency “Shadow” object and a screen transparency “Highlights” object over it in order to keep the values of any new version created in the base layer.
The white outline and the floor shadows are also separate objects for easy handling any variation. The background decorative frame is also a set of 2 objects waiting for a new combination of colors.
A Layered TIF with the same layer build up is also included for those who want to use Photoshop.
