Improve And Repair Website
I need a highly skilled website programmer/designer to review our new website and make repairs, improvements and minor changes to increase user friendliness, ease of navigation and effectiveness. The company that designed the new website didn’t seem to do a very thorough job.

Our current and old website is at: www.candleswest.com
Once changes and improvements are made to the new website, the new website will be moved to our current domain: www.candleswest.com
The new website must be independent of the old website.
It is your responsibility to make recommendations and changes to the website (backend and frontend). You won’t be changing the main design or look of the website, just make changes to certain pages, links and navigation.
Some improvements and changes that need to be made.
1. Integrate identical “Catalog request” page from old site into new site. Do not link to old site. However, this page on the new website must operate like the page on the old website.
2. Create a static intro page. The new website has an animated flash intro. I would like a static page (identical to the last page of the flash intro) installed on the new website so that when the user clicks on the “home”link or the “previous” or “back” button in their browser, they will be directed to this static page instead of the entire flash intro. I don’t think visitors want to see the entire flash intro every time they go to the home page to select a new category.
3. Repair links in new website.
4. Make new website easy to navigate
5. New website should be SEO friendly and search engine friendly
6. Pages should load fast and operate fast.
7. Poorly designed pages should be improved or modified.
8. Make all text easy to read (example: text on main page is too dark and small)
9. After reviewing sites, you will send me a list of proposed changes and improvements.
Please visit both websites before submitting a bid. You must be highly skilled and have a lot of experience.
