This is a very specific need so please read the entire post. I need to be able to have vendors register on a Joomla site but do not want to use the standard user registration. This needs to be separate.
The vendor will register on the site and enter contact information as well as a business type and business category that will depend on the selected business type. The user will not be active unless an administrator of the site approves the new vendor. An email message must be sent to a specific email address (not the site admin) declaring that a new vendor has registered.
Once the vendor has been activated they will be search-able on the site.
The search function must be as follows. Separate from the standard site search and just for the vendors. This will have a County not Country, Business Type and Business Category (driven by Business Type).
I would prefer that a module be used and someone who knows it. Possibly an AD module?
The resulting vendor(s) will then be displayed on the page.
This can be a module if one exists.
