Business Goal:
This project is to enhance the way users are requesting services from the Telecommunication department. Creating an online web-base request form will reduce the phone and e-mail request. Demand processing will be much faster and users would have an easier and faster way of requesting services.

Objective:
The intention is to provide the users with a user friendly system this project consist of the following features:

„Ï Users will have the options to request services by completing an online form
„Ï The system will provide a dropdown menu, with the Type of Services such as: new install, moves and repair.
„Ï The system will provide a dropdown menu, for selections of Devices such as: Desk phones and wireless. Once user makes a selection a second dropdown menu will appear providing the model selections for desk phones such as: Siemens, Avaya, Cisco and Nortel. If user selects wireless a second dropdown will appear providing wireless models such as I-335 cell phone, Blackberry 8330 or 8350, Pager in House or Wide area
„Ï The system will provide a dropdown menu, About US
„Ï The system will provide a dropdown menu with Contact information
„Ï An e-mail confirmation number will be sent to the users for tracking purposes.
„Ï User ID and Department ID are required.

And
In order to meet this objective, we will use .HTML for the web front-end, and ASP on the front that will connect to an MS Access database for data storage on the back-end.

Benefits
The system will allow the user to fill out an online form to request services; the system will be available 24/7 for the user¡¦s convenience. The users will no longer be sitting in queue waiting for a call center agent to answer and fill in their request. This online system will allow both users and the customer service agent to better manage their time

The issue today is that users need to call or e-mail CSC in order to request services. Telecom will be the first to use this online system with the objective of bringing all services on board.
