I’m need someone to design and develop a dynamic garage sale/ Flea Market website similar in functionality to http://www.egaragesales.com.au/index.asp however I want a better layout, better design, and additional features. Not sure if this is a 2.0 type of site??? There are a few things listed as “optional” that are not required but things I would look for.
A few things we would want are:
1. Have two types of user memberships. People posting garage sales would have option for a free very simple posting, a one time pay basic posting and a one time pay premium. People who visit the site register for free is they want to chat with other garage sale seekers or with garage sale posters.
2. Garage sales/ Flea Markets searchable by zip and cities entered by users. Also allow user to search items by zip and cities and allow them to pull up a list of garage sale listings where those items are.
3. As mentioned I need a chat function for members to talk to others and to people posting garage sales. OPTIONAL: like to have a forum but NOT necessary.
4. Create a page where users can use the garage sale sign template and put in their own content and print out a sign like here http://www.egaragesales.com.au/garage_sale_flyers.asp
5. Garage sale checklist like here http://www.egaragesales.com.au/tips_hints/garage_sale_checklist.asp
6. Also need a FREE section where people could post free items they can’t sale as well as a wanted section where people who cannot sale items can contact someone who wants an item they have.
7. Individual garage sale display page similar to http://www.egaragesales.com.au/placeanad/placeanad.asp?l=menu_global2
8. Google maps showing where the deals are.
*Optional: users can enter their zip on homepage and google maps show all the deals in their area such as http://gsalr.com/garage-sales-houston-tx.html
9. FAQ, About US, Tips section
10. A main image slider on the front page
11. Featured garage sales section
12. Space for advertising (either google adsense or other)
13. Option to print individual garage sales listing
14. Allow sellers to take deposits via pay pal, visa, etc to hold certain items until the person can get there.
