I see this as a two stage process, first stage, ready the existing site for SEO, second stage, SEO.
So first, I need someone to go through the existing site, and either convert to the “Thesis” or other SEO ready theme or clean up and ready the existing site for SEO. I am certain there are competing plug-ins, mis used plugins, some help, some hinder, just need someone to come in and either switch to a theme that is SEO ready or make the existing theme SEO ready.
Below are described some changes, enhancements, etc to the existing functionality.
Keywords I’d like to target:
Specific:
Club Sea Breeze, Club SeaBreeze, Discount travel club, discount travel membership, Discount Travel Card, Top tier business, Recession proof business, recession proof home based business, Top Recession Proof Business, Top Tier, Coffee House Letter, Top Travel Business, Top Multi Level Marketing Companies, Multi Level Marketing Opportunities, Latest Multi Level Marketing, Multi Level Marketing Companies, Best Home Based Business Idea
General
Network Marketing, Home Based Business, Multi Level Marketing, MLM
Competitors
Pyxism, DHT, LGN Prosperity, LGN, Diamond Holiday Travel, World Ventures, Worldventures, Coastal Vacations, GRN, Global Resorts Network, Resorts 360, Primo Vacations, Dreamstyle Vacations
Assumptions:
I do want to keep the custom header, generally same look, though if there are some changes, I can live with that.
If we need to switch to a new theme, I prefer “Thesis”, however I require that the switch to the “Thesis” theme will not substantially or substantively change the functionality of my current site where I can add pages, control which pages appear in the navigation bar, have subpages listed, add photos and videos, audio, copy, control which pages have a side bar or right column
I have in past been able to do most of this myself, I’d like that to be the case here as well
Keep the photo rotator box on the right side
Keep the video rotator box on the right side
Keep the ezine expert author box
Have google analytics
Changes, features I’d like
Many are, as I understand part of the functionality of Thesis, hopefully all are, but if not, let me know which ones are custom or easily installable plugins
I’d like to know how to add/delete photos from the rotator and to control where and if it appears on a page
To control where and if the video rotator appears on the page
In general, where and if anything that is in the current sidebar appears on the page
Control over which pages appear in the main navigation
Control over and ability to add/delete sub-pages under both main nav pages and hidden pages
Control over and ability to have 1 or multiple columns on each page, on a page by page basis
Control over and ability to add my own opt-in box wherever I want, well I’m only going to put it on the “Contact Us” page, but I haven’t decided upon Aweber or to re-up with Get Response yet.
In place of that opt-in box on all of the pages, I want to selectively place some monetization ideas, banner ads, affiliate links, etc. If you have some good ideas for monetization I’m open to those as well.
If you want to make some kind of arrangement, I’m open to placing some ad for your services as well.
In this regard, I do not know what is available out there, maybe something similar to the photo rotator or video rotator, but changing on page change or refresh, not while viewing, that would be too distracting, I like the photos to do that, but nothing else. And to have that kind of functionality on a page, by page basis, e.g. on one page, but not another, my discretion.
BFF Blog —
I’d like the social media network integration, especially “tweet this” functionality to posts and replies, so that if someone likes a particular post, they can “tweet this” or any of the other social media-like the plug-in I currently use that is at the bottom of each post, but add that “tweet this” to the front of each post.
I’d like “Replies” to be more prominent, the font is really small right now and when someone clicks on it, I’d like replies to alternate white and some pastel background (green) and if possible mine in a different color (blue)
And I want to post somewhere some rules for replies, right now my blog is “follow” and I get a lot of junk/spam/crap. I don’t know what is best, follow or no follow, need some direction here.
I have a facebook company page for Club Sea Breeze set up, just haven’t spent any time on it, but somehow like to integrate that too if it’s good for SEO.
In General, I want and need to capitalize on the benefits of the blog for SEO. I can and will post 1 or 2 times per week.
I have the username and password for the hosting C-Panel, wordpress and anything else you would need, just need you to tell me what it is you need.
I believe, though I’ve listed a lot of “stuff”, much of this is either already there or can be added or contained within the switch to the “Thesis” theme which has greater functionality than my current theme which has great functionality, but a lot of it had to be programmed and because I add the copy and content myself, was/is too easy to mess up the programming.
So what I need and the questions now are:
Need a quote for the work I described. I realize this will depend on what you find in the theme, programming in my site so this quote should be flexible.
Separate into quotes for conversion to Thesis or similar theme and changes and enhance existing site with the the changes.
The reason for the conversion is that Thesis by all accounts is structured, ready and optimized for SEO, if it’s not necessary, I need to know that too.
How soon, can we get started, how long to complete?
What do you need from me?
I have a site with good content, at least it is helpful to the people I service and I can continue to add that content, though I am getting really busy since my group is growing nicely. My site seems to have potential, but isn’t structured correctly and it’s lacking in backlinks, keyword focus, and I only know enough to be dangerous, so God knows what else. But I know it does and should rank better and that is also the reason why my adwords campaigns have a difficult time with content scoring—another reason I dislike google.
