Hi all,
I am starting a new website and need a full scale development team to help me get it off the ground. This is a multifaceted site/development plan and I will describe it as best I can below.
I want a CMS system. I need you to install the script on my server and also show me how to use it. Maybe drupal, maybe wordpress, whatever. I am open to recommendations.
Everything must be done to ensure good SEO practices. That means customizable page titles, customizable anchor text linking, eliminating duplicate content through url controls etc etc.
There are several aspects to this site/project.
#1- Article/resource section. This area of the site will be filled with articles, guides, reviews etc. I need a few different layers of categories to organize this section of the site. I also would like a related links area at the bottom of each page which I can add links to w/custom anchor text.
2-Web Show section. We will making an internet only web show. This section of the site will have cast bios, show information, archived video (hosted on youtube). The main page for this section should be updatedable to include the latest episode plsu any featured content we want to show, latest news, etc. Each page/post should have a comment section with the appropriate antispam safeguards.
3- T-shirt section. We’ll be using spreadshirt.com for our tshirt printing needs. Spreadshirt does not allow me to host their sfotware on my site so we need to make a kind of dual system where the catalog of shirts is hosted on my site…but when a customer clicks “add to cart” or whatever they are taken to the my spreadshirt shop. For an example of this please visit nekkidtees.com As you can see the initla images of eachs hrit are on his site, then the user is transported to his spreadshirt shop to complete the order.
3(a)I need the part of this hosted on my site to be fully indexable by google images and seo friendly. I need to create a custom description for each shirt and have multiple categories/sub categories.
3(b) I will need you to edit the css/header etc of the spreadshirt shop to visually match the layout of the tshirt section of the main site.
4- Amazon associate store. I will be using the script found here- http://www.freshstorebuilder.com/ This store will have various items in it that our visitors would be interested in. You will need t install this script on your server and then customize it to visually match the rest of the site. It is fully editable. I will take care of populating it although I might need some formatting help.
5- Youtube channel The youtube channel doesn’t have anything to do with the site per se, but I need it customized as much as possible to match the design of the site.
****Video Site Maps! this part is extremely important. All of the video on the site will be hosted by youtube. So we need to create a video sitemap for google to index these videos. This is a bit tricky but it must be done! There are a lot resources on how to do this online.
OK So thats the basic overview. i will provide hosting. logo and all graphics. You need to design a layout and silo structure for the content I have described as well as install everything etc etc etc.
This is a big project and I will keep whoever I hire on long term as a webmaster for the site.
