We had a Magento Community Edition 1.3.2.4 install which failed during the update process to 1.4.1 making our back and front end inaccessible. The site was running 2 stores from 1 backend.
Obviously we still have access via FTP and have succesfully taken the skins from the server.
We need –
Magento reinstalled on the server
Setup and configured to utilise the existing skins – ie. with working categories
