I have a quick small project I would like to send you. Joomla 1.5.20 > Virtuemart 1.1.4> Adding feature serial number generation to downloadable software product. I have the script for serial number written in php with a total of two lines. The script works in a free version form already.
Overall Requirements:
Script needs to use information from the shopper and product to create the serial number.
Needs to add information to the database probably something like “#__{vm}_order_item” “serialnumber”
“serialnumber” needs to be generated anytime after confirmation of payment
“serialnumber” needs to display in order item info after payment is confirmed(admin area, logged in customer area and in an E-mail sent to customer that can be combined or separate from downloadlink).
