We need you to add full Google Analytics e-commerce tracking codes to the redirect page for PayPal Standard payment. To be clear, we need Google Analytics to receive the exact same full e-commerce data ($ amount, quantity, etc) that is normally transmitted by the Magento Thank You page, but from the Redirect page instead. This refers to the Redirect page that takes the shopper to PayPal Standard after they complete the Onepage checkout. Normally, the same tracking info is sent to Google by the Magento Thank You page when the shopper returns to Magento after paying, but we find that too many shoppers don’t bother clicking the Return to Merchant link. The module must only do this when payment method is PayPal Standard.
We will also need you to prevent the Thank You page from sending duplicate tracking data, but again ONLY when the payment was PayPal Standard.
We need this to work with the normal Magento Google Analytics backend settings in System, Configuration, Google API, Google Analytics, meaning that you mustn’t hard code Google account numbers, etc in the module, but rather the module must use Magento’s Enable and Account Number settings.
We need this for Magento 1.4.0.1, packaged as a proper Magento Module so that we can smoothly upgrade to future Magento versions. You will develop & test this on your own system and deliver the module to us. We will install it ourselves on our own server, after doing a security review on the code. Code must not be obfuscated and we will own full rights upon payment.
