I have had the following problem on several of my WordPress sites, so I need someone who is very familiar with WordPress to give me a solution. I will be available later this evening and I will pay immediately after fix.
I have something happening with the permalink structure. My permalinks are set to… /%category%/%postname%/
For example when I created an about-us page, the permalink was mydomain.com/about-us. Now I made some changes and decided to change the link to… mydomain.com/about, saved the page, published, but the link doesn’t work, even if I click on the ‘view page’ or elsewhere that page can’t be viewed. In the post edit the permalink shows as mydomain.com/about, but when you try to access that page it does not work.
I have tried to edit the page, view the page, but the link doesn’t go there. I have tried to log out, log in, refresh, even delete the page and add a new page, but the link doesn’t work.
I have attached my .htaccess file. My test site is KlickDeals.com. The about me link is the problem.
I need someone to tell me how to fix my permalink problem, and what’s going on.
