I’m looking for a drudge report clone with a few changes. I don’t want anything fancy. All i want to do is have rss feeds of as many stories as I want about a patictuar subject from the sites I choose. The subject i’m going to use is about the crime mixed with stories about missing persons. Latter i might change the subject for a diffrent site. But i want be able to change the subject for a second site i want. The code has to be simple to understand and open source.
On the top: I want feeds from all the sites drudge report use and more about crime in all the counrties states and cities. If a user clicks on a country but in the end only stories about crime and missing persons in that country show up then if a user clicks on a state missing crime and missing persons in that state show up on the top then by city.
On the bottom where the stories don’t appear on the left hand colum: It will not be the same as drudge it will different. It will “only” have all countries exactly like craigslist does. If you go to craigslist you will know what i mean. click on canda see how all states appear on the lefthand side? Thats what i’m talking about. I also want the user to be able change the laungue like craigslist.
On the bottom where the stories don’t appear in the middle colum: It will hve a link to you tube, blogger, twitter, ect…. when you click on a link say about you tube stories on youtube by counrty state and city will show up.
on the left colum like drudge:
they will be able to search by zip coad or archive. It will have the send news or tips just like drudge. visits and email.
on the top where drudge always has a photo: I want to show the latest missing persons of the day. A place for a amber alert by country state city ect..
I would like to see the site complete and operational before i pay. The last guy didn’t complete my site and demanded payments by page and i lost alot of money. If needed so that the programmer dosn’t have to make any page changes i could make a example of what i mean for the front page but i would perfer not to take the time to do so….. the only change to the front page design would be suject matter and links on each colum not design!….
