Our client seeks to create an online market place consisting of different merchant shops.
The shops will include,
Kiosks – for merchants selling 1 – 5 products/services
Stores – for merchants selling 6 – 10 products/services
superstores – for merchants selling 11 – 20 products/services
mega-stores – for merchants with over 20 products but not more than 50
super mega-stores – unlimited products and services.
The mall is structured in such a way that it allows merchants register and upload their products and services from the comfort of their own pcs.
The major feature of this mall is the escrow payment module which is a buyer/seller protection feature. When Mr. A buys from Mr. B; Mr. A’s account/card is charged with the total cost of the purchase and the money is put in the escrow account and a message sent to Mr. B that Mr. A has paid so Mr. B can deliver. Also a confirmation code which is Mr. A’s proof of delivery is sent to Mr. A so when Mr. A delivers, Mr. B releases the code as part of the verification process that goods/services were delivered.
Client also want to integrate DHL, Fedex and other less expensive delivery services and after purchase buyer can decide to choose any means of delivery.
The mall will have provision for shop owners to advertise either on the mall homepage or the specific category of products/services they offer.
Goods and services will be listed according to their categories so buyers can easily access them.
Our client’s vision is to have a dynamic, user-friendly and scalable eCommerce portal that will offer a shopping experience that is next to none.
Client requires the highest level of buyer protection and authentication so client is working to integrate biometric verification to prevent credit/debit card identity theft.
Each buyer must register and as part of registration will submit their biometric information to our biometric server directly from the portal so whenever they wish to purchase they are identified by their fingerprint.
