This iPhone/iPad app will feature listings for over 250 restaurants in Orlando and Central Florida, including Walt Disney World, Universal Studios theme parks and SeaWorld. The listings are from the Web site scottjosephorlando.com, a Joomla! based site with Sigsiu/Sobi2 database.
The app will sort the listings in four main ways:
Full list, alphabetically
By cuisine type
By location
By special features
It will also be possible to filter the lists by:
Price $-$$$$
Proximity, if GPS is activated
Star rating  Each listing will show 5 stars with only the ratings colored.
Listing results will give the restaurant’s name, cuisine type, location and price rating.
Upon selecting a listing, users will be taken to a screen with full details, including:
Name of restaurant
Address
Phone number, with link to phone’s call function
Link to Google map, where directions may be obtained
Cuisine type
Features the restaurant is listed under (e.g. outdoor dining, open Mondays, etc.)
Meals served: (e.g. Lunch M-F, dinner daily)
Review synopsis
Link to restaurant’s Web site
Star rating and link to SJO Web site to leave own rating (requires site registration)
Where applicable, a link to critic’s full review of the restaurant on the Web site. (registration not required)
Those who have enabled gps will be able to list restaurants by proximity.
All data exists: some may be available in spreadsheet or csv; some may require cut-and-paste.
Attached is a Keynote ’09 mock-up of the app’s functionality. This is not a final design; please advise on recommended changes in design and functionality.
