Fix Error On Website

I have a website that we changed hosts for awhile back and they put on a shared SSL certificate which gave error messages that the site may not be secure as the address was not the same as our domain. I purchased a private SSL certificate but need some of the coding changed. The hosting provider said the following, so I believe the effected pages would need to be recoded with Https etc.

“When you visit a secure page and the lock does not display in the lower right-hand corner of the browser, this is because the browser has detected that not all elements on the page are secure. When a page is called via a secure SSL call, the browser checks to make sure that all the elements on it can be loaded securely. To ensure that the lock appears in the browser (indicating that the page is secure), please re-write all your pages links with https calls, and do not load any external pages.”
