I want to combine the concepts of soundcloud.com and audiojungle.net
Summary: A stock music site that allows members to buy and sell their productions. Two licenses will exist for each product (peraonal use and commercial). System should auto calculate payments to content creators. There will also be free and paid users.
Business model: Free users get limited storage and play statistics. Possible ads on their profile pages. $50 a year removes ads. $100 a year offers complete stats and auto entry in prize contests. Free and ad-free users keep 70% of sales. $100/year subscribers keep 100% of sales.
Database: Site core will be run on a dedicated apple server. User content will be stored in Amazon S3 Cloud for streaming and downloads. Eventually I would like to see a player on site’s main page randomly playing all user content with the ability to load the respective producer profile of the currently playing content.
