Design, code, document, install, test and troubleshoot a website where:
1.A new customer can buy an ebook from us, probably using Paypal, for a few dollars.
2.We’ll email them a link to download the ebook and provide them a unique Referrer ID (RID) number.
3.They can click on and display a page explaining how to distribute their RID number as widely as possible.
4.The system shall track all purchases by RID number.
5.The system shall count the first three purchases made using a given RID as “personal referrals.”
6.The system shall credit all additional purchases citing a given RID further down in the referral network to build depth faster.
7.The system shall send each customer an email every week reporting on the size of their referral network.
8.The system shall pay (probably using PayPal) for every sale as designated by our rules, according to a pre-set payment schedule.
9. When the system detects sufficient growth in each person’s referral network, we email them a link to a website where they can securely tell us what we need to know in order to do IRS Form 1099. This step is mandatory for the to get paid. The system shall provide a 1099 information report to the website owner.
I have more detailed screens, descriptions and specifications, but I want to work cooperatively with the developer to get the requirements right before design, coding, testing, installation and troubleshooting take place.
I would like to use a pay-as-we-go approach to get the final requirements documents, design documents, system documentation, and other design process milestones accomplished, paying for each development milestone as we go. Each milestone will also involve my go/no go decision on whether to proceed to the next milestone.
