Overview:
Creation of a website using WordPress and the theme Grid-a-Licious (http://suprmarket.net/gridalicious/). The license for the theme has been purchased. The out-of-the-box theme looks like this: http://suprmarket.net/themes/gridalicious/
This work will require knowledge of PHP and CSS.
Look & Feel:
The site you will be designing will be similar in functionality to this website, which also uses the Grid-a-LIcious theme: http://www.creativedepart.com/
– header, color scheme, fonts will change
The features we will NOT include from this site:
– will not include “Submit Your Story”
– will not include “Normal View Mode”
– public’s ability to create new accounts
– Date will not be shown on main page excepts
– Key word tags will not be shown on the main page excepts
ADDITIONAL FEATURES:
– will have two pages that look like the front page. This can be filtered by tags. the MAIN PAGE will show all posts except those tagged with “quotes”. PAGE TWO will show ONLY posts tagged with “quotes”
– a function that will allow users to vote on posts. Similar to Facebook “Liking” except that it will be an internal site feature. A Tally of the votes should be shown next to the voting icon (see mock-up)
– a list of the 10 top “Voted” posts will be shown at the top of the screen next to the site logo. The titles of each post will be a permalink to the full post. The list should also display the number of votes.
– using the above voting function, then display the top highly rated posts on the top of the page in text format
– full post should open similarly to this site: http://xpaider.com/ – note that the other features from the front page fill in on the top and bottom of the page (this is a standard function of the theme)
