Iphone App – Displays Score When 5 Min Left In Sports Game

Description

Hello,

I am looking to build an app that alerts users and displays the score when 5 minutes remain on the clock for their favorite sports game. This app is designed to be an alert system for people on the go who only want a brief update of their favorite sports teams without the hassle of having to look it up on any of the major cable apps like ESPN or FOX. This would simply be an alarm system that when activated displays time remaining, teams playing, the current score, and the channel it is being broadcast on. I suspect that the app will have to link feeds from all of the major broadcasters, ESPN, FOX, CBS, NBC, ABC as well as all of the major league websites.

Last 5 minutes of game –

2 modes –

1st mode is general mode – user can select to receive updates whole categories of games (basketball, football etc.), or whole categories of leagues (Major League Baseball, National Football League… etc) or all of the games on a specific date. This mode will feature a series of alerts

2nd mode is for a specific game on a specific date/time.

User selects Sport (basketball, football, soccer, baseball, hockey, tennis), League (major, minor, college), then date/time of the game.

At the last five minutes of game a chimer buzzes and score is displayed along with teams playing, and time remaining. Additionally the channel it is featured on appears (fox, nbc, cbs, espn etc.) Also if the game goes into OVERTIME the alert should update that event as well.

The alert should have a button that takes them to the broadcaster’s TV channel so they can watch the remainder of the game on their iphone, ipod, ipad or AppleTV.

The user will have the option to keep the app running in the background or to turn it off if they are doing something else with their iphone, ipod, ipad or mobile device. It should not interfere with calls/games that are being used.

This app is heavy on broadcaster integration so you should have experience handling that. Programmer should be well versed in Cocoa, Objective C and ipad programming.
