Basically, the functionality would be:
– Capture the zip and userid to their database, passed in via querystring, via hidden form fields
– For those without zip/userid passed in: form on the landing page includes email and zip fields i.e. those two fields are hidden when the zip/userid are available in the querystring
– For all: the landing page includes a pre-written Tweet, Google Map of previous Tweets (pop-ups appear randomly with profile thumbnail and Tweet on the map), and “Tweet it” button
– To Tweet: the user will be asked to authorize the app if he has not already (possibly using this 3rd party tool: http://pongsocket.com/tweet-it/)
– After authentication: the Tweet is posted, action recorded, and user is returned to the landing page
– After Tweet: User is shown a “thanks” message, “share” buttons (Facebook /Twitter/Tumbler etc), and his Tweet is popped-up on the map
– A thermometer at the top shows progress towards 10,000 Tweets
