I need a custom newsfeed component for my site. We’re using this for small informal daily announcements (ie: We’re going to be closed tomorrow, submit your orders today. — Style 93849 is in low quantity, order accordingly — new products are in, etc.)
1) The newsfeed needs to show at most 5 announcements.
2) I want to have a small indicator to show when an announcement is new (ie: posted in the last 6 hours)
3) If the announcement is longer than 2 lines, I want to truncate it and have a “Read more” link that when clicked would expand the paragraph and move everything down.
4) At the end of this section I want a “See all announcement” link that would display the announcements from the past 30 days.
5) In the “See all announcement” section, I want a monthly archive (ie: October 2010, November 2010, December 2010, January 2011, etc.) – once clicked, that month’s announcement would be displayed.
6) I want to offer this as an RSS feed as well, so customers can read it where ever they want.
7) I need a back-end admin section where I can post these messages.
8) In the back-end I want to be able to draft, edit, delete, save, and schedule messages.
9) This is a stand-alone add-on feature for a shopping cart system, I expect assistance in installing the component.
