What is needed:
Using some information from the user record DB table, the script will search an external website, download the search results from that site, and then download additional details for each search result found.
This will be done by downloading all of the search results that are shown in a the DB table, then running another script that would download the details for each result found.
The key here is that I HAVE EXISTING SCRIPTS that perform a DIFFERENT search method and download the data i need. I need someone with knowledge of data scrape to review and modify these scripts accordingly. Therefore, creating a db table, and figuring out which variables to scrape is not necessary for the most part.
What is required:
(1) Creating a script and setting it up to initialize a data scrape
(2) Understand two existing data scrape scripts
(3) Copy and paste relevant data scrape code from scripts
(4) modify scripts to handle multiple results rather than one result. For example create an array.
The scripts are in PHP. The data that is being scraped is from an asp site
