I need a script written for centos 5 x86 that will auto format any usb storage device that is connected to the computer then play a single beep through the pc speaker if format is successful or play a double beep if its not successful. The computer will be standalone/headless and this will be its only purpose in life is to ensure that usb keys are not infected with a windows based virus by formatting it before its used in the field. I would like it to work for both usb flash drives and usb harddrives. Thanks.
