Need application for my facility that I can install in several remote PC’s to track inventory. I need these remote locations to communicate to a central program on a main PC in our central department to track inventory level across out entire facility.
The remote PC’s should have the following ability:
– Issue item
– Return Item
– Transactions table (ties an item issue to user, remote location name, and date and time. )
– User database (Should tie back to central program, so we can add/delete users across all remote locations)
Central Location
– Allows us to see the status of all remote locations and inventory level.
– Would like the Central location to maintain user, item, and transaction database. If a new item needs to be added to a remote location it should be created in the Central program then pushed to remote locations.
In order to keep costs down would like this to be done using foxpro databases.
All devices can communicate on our network with static IPS assigned.
Would like this project broken up in phases, due to the complexity and possible upgrades. Looking for a long term programmer. Who can work quickly but efficiently.
I would also consider a web based solution if programmer can explain options and benefits.
