Overview
We have a requirement for a mobile formatted website. The current site has all the functionality needed in terms of data connections so this can be used as a starting point.
The user needs to be directed to the mobile formatted version of the site when a mobile device is detected. There will be less content than the full site www.fashionpersonnel.co.uk.
Mobile Site Content
The site will consist of four main pages: Home, Help, Clients and Contact. The pages will work on a tabbed style layout.
The navigation bar needs to be an include of some type for future editing.
The coding needs to be DIV / CSS – no tables and validated via W3C.
The mobile site will sit on the main server within a ‘Mobile’ folder.
Home
This section (‘Search Jobs’) contains the Jobs. Users can search the jobs (or view the 10 most recent jobs below the search function). The search results are shown in the ‘Search Results’ section of the wireframe doc.
When the user finds the a job they click through to the ‘Job Description’ page where they can apply for the job.
As some devices (iPhone for example) can’t upload files (in this case a C.V.) there is the otion to ‘Paste’ a text C.V. into a text field. Please advise if there are any other considerations or concerns for this section of the site.
When the user clicks ‘Apply’ the application form is posted to the relevant consultant via email (it will also include the C.V. file if the mobile device allows it).
Upon a successful application they will be directed to a thank you page (‘Application Success’)
Help
This section is simple. Please see wireframe.
Clients
As above this section is simple – see wireframe doc.
Contact
This page has the contact information. The Google Map opens the Native Google App on the mobile device (or a new browser window if not supported). The Normal Map link goes to a further page containing the map image (this is to minimise images on the site unless the user wants them)
Validation
The validation will be done with the following tool – http://validator.w3.org/mobile/
And we expect the following devices and browser to be supported:
Devices
iPhone
Blackberry
Windows Mobile
Browsers
Google Android
iPhone Safari
Opera Mini / Mobile
Skyfire
Mozilla Minimo
Firefox Mobile
I’ve attached a wireframe doc (for pages and content) and visuals (for look & feel).
