I am part owner of a website built in Drupal. We have a development lead but he is only moderately familiar with Drupal. We are interested in providing a more polished, professional look to our login/registration box on our homepage and we want to incorporate video into our website. We have incorporated Drupal video modules but we have had challenges with presentation of the videos. Our interest is to be able to upload, easily, videos from third party video hosting sites (eg, You Tube, etc…) as well as videos we create or that are sent to us that we would host directly from our servers. We have a Video tab on the site and this would be the primary storage location for most of the videos but we would like to be able to also place videos at various locations on the site without too much heavy lifting. The final piece of this is we would prefer to have a clickable thumbnail that would expand into a standard sized video viewing screen when clicked. Our primary reason for this is simply space on the site (ie, rather than having someone have to scroll forever to see videos if we can present as a smaller thumbnail it makes presentation on the site more palatable).
We want to have this done as soon as possible but it is not critical. Additionally we would like to establish a long standing relationship with a developer well versed in Drupal that we can go back to on a regular basis. Our developer’s forte is Dreamweaver and SEO.
