Thank you for looking at this project. We want to pick an experienced programmer with feedback, but we’re looking for someone who can make this script quickly for a low price.
We upload a lot of tutorial and how to articles from MS Word to our client’s proprietary website. Each article consists of a description, things needed section, steps, a tips section, a warning section, a resources section, and an SEO keyword phrase section. There are some other fields as well, but we will copy and paste these by hand.
Each section is pasted into a specific text entry box on the client’s website. We want a script that will automatically copy and paste each section of text in the MS word article into the correct text entry box on the client’s website. The script should only paste the text. It should NOT submit any forms on the client’s website.
The script can be simple and not flashy looking, but it should contain the following features:
• We choose the MS Word file that we want to copy the information from.
• We need the option to designate which text entry box on the client’s website the information is posted into.
• If there is information on the MS Word file not designated by a delimiter, it should simply be ignored #paste to client website#.
• The script should handle up to 20 steps by default.
• The script should only copy and paste one article at a time, because all articles are submitted to a custom page on the client’s website designated for that particular article.
• The copy and paste process should be very, very fast. We need to save time on this process, which we’ve been doing manually.
• We will load the client’s submit page in our desktop browser so the script and insert the information and we can make changes to the information before we press the submit button on the client’s website.
Other things to note:
The script can be simple in looks, but it should work on all versions of windows and MAC. This is really not a complex script, we’re just trying to be thorough so you understand it.
Files Attached:
1. Sample article with delimiters in place.
2. Sample code from one of the client’s pages. There are extra fields and text boxes that we don’t use.
3. Screenshots from the front end of the client’s system.
