This iPhone application is for a classic hour glass which will have some basic features.
This application is primarily a clock like application that will enable a user to tell the approximate time. The intention is to make this application theme based so that the default hourglass theme may change into another in the future (maintaining the core functionality of this application)

Description
The application will function as a classic hourglass where sand will pour from the top to the bottom sections of the hour glass. The amount of sand should be for 1 hour’s worth of pouring. Once the sand has completed it should have an animated flip to rotate the bottom half to the top. This should occur on the hour. There should be 2 distinct media files during this process one for the pouring of the sand and the other on the hour for when the hour glass rotates.
AM / PM will be denoted by the colour of the sand – yellow for am, dark blue for pm
The canvas will be a corkboard with 12 pins equally dispersed around the hour glass. Each of these pins represents an hour (1,2,3,4,etc..)
There will be a ladybug that walks from pin to pin (hour to hour) it represents the minute hand on a clock. Every 10 minutes the ladybug will closer to the next pin, the idea is to get the approximate time not exact time – so no need for numbers. Each 10 min when the lady bugs moves there will be an accompanying media file and sound of the ladybug moving.
Requirements:
Application will be created for the iphone.
Application will size and rotate appropriately from horizontal to vertical based on the held position of the iphone
All graphics and media will be created for the default hourglass theme as outlined in this document.
Application should be functional upon delivery
Hourglass should appear to be 3 dimensional.
The pins should appear to be 3 dimensional and inserted into the corkboard naturally. (on an angle)
application will have customizable options such that templates can be applied that would change the look of the application from an hour glass to any conceivable type of clock” with the same basic functionality as the hour glass described above
The customizable parts will include
The canvas (Background) the default in this case is a corkboard
The container the default is the Hourglass image
The container contents images (default is sand)
container contents media (default sand falling from one side of hour glass and accumulating in the other)
container sound (Background sound) – default is the sound of sand falling
AM / PM colour of container contents
The on the hour action – default is to rotate the hour glass such that the empty end of the hour glass flips to the bottom.
The on the hour media (flipping of the clock).
The on the hour sound bit (flipping of the clock)
hour images (default is pins)
minute image (default is ladybug)
Every 10 min media – the animation of the minute image to the next position
Every 10 min sound – the sound of the animation.
