I am looking to be able to insert Code for a Search Box onto my Homepage (or any page I need to actually) –
If someone enters something into the Search Box (a Letter, Number, or Phrase/Keyword) it should take them to a webpage on my website or to an Outside URL, Based on the Item they entered into the Search Box.
It needs to Match Exactly – if the item typed in does not match exactly, it needs to go back to a Blank Field, and Display an Error Message either Above or Below the Search Box.
I Do NOT need or want the system to display a list of Close Matches.
This Project can be done using a MySQL or a Flatfile Database, but I should be able to easily Add, Modify, or Delete Items from the items that would be searched. There needs to be 2 Fields – (1) the Title to enter the Item (a Letter, Number or Phrase/Keyword) (2) the URL / Webpage Address to take someone to.
I need to be able to to Copy/Paste the Code into whatever webpage I want or need to use this on… I have access to MySQL Databases on my server.
I’m guessing this should be a pretty easy project for someone who really knows this stuff.
