Exit Popup With Ftp

Hey,

I already have an exit pop up that triggers a browser alert when the visitor attempts to leave the website. However, I’d like to improve on it with a few small things.

First, I’d like to have a feature so that the alert will only be triggered once every 24 hours, so that people are not seeing this alert multiple times in a day. (very easy to do).

Second, I’d like to have ftp built into the software so that it will upload the new javascript code to the end user’s server.

The code comes in two parts. One line of code on the site/page just before the end body tag. and a small js file to upload.

I need this script to be stupid easy for the end user to use. Therefore, instead of telling them to put \n\n when you want a line break, etc. They will simply type in the alert message into a text field and if they hit enter, this script will put \n\n in the code for them.

Lastly, some people will upload this code to a wordpress blog and if they were doing it manually, they would simply upload the js file to the public_html folder and the line of code to the footer.php file just before the end body tag.

This script will have a check box asking if this is a blog. If they check yes, when the script ftp’s the files to their server, it needs to put the line of code in the footer.php file, not the index.html file.

The script will have a graphic (I’ll design it) that will simply ask for the following info:

1. exit page url
2. alert message
3. display daily or once a day (check box)
4. ftp login info
5. if it’s a blog or not (check box)

Then once they’ve filled it in, there’s a button to upload the files to their server. That’s it.

If you’re thinking about bidding on this project, please don’t if you don’t have any feedback or if it’s negative. Also, please be sure to say ‘how’ you plan on doing the actual work.

If you do a good job with this, I have many more projects for the future.
