Write an iphone app to regular send a http request to a web server, if there is some text returned, the app show the content on the screen.
I dont know whether iOS push notification can help. If yes, I would prefer using push notification to let the app know there is text returned from the web server and show it on the screen. It can reduce the loading on the web server.
